ANGEL DREAMS

Silently, she wishes upon a star each night.
The Fallen Angel dream's she'd like to own the sky;
Seems Love is the only luxury she can't afford to buy;
Since she's gotten so purse and key-chain high.

She says; a Love like ours, we should hide; I'm her secret:
And in the same breath, she's telling me how she could never
forget.
There's no one else; she swears, the proof's in this ring of hers:
The one I gave her, that she wears, on her weekday fingers.

I've got news for you to wear with your brand new dancing
shoes;
They'll go so well with your two-time set of run-around rules.
I've got a new suit of my own; and hand to hold, to match your
glove.
Why did you ever want to wear anything more then my Love?
Someone, somehow, somewhere has gave your heart a new
address.
Don't mention any names: your reason being; is anybody's guess.

Our Love ain't for real; it's become just a myth.
I imagine you won't mind, if I pretend to cry a bit.

CHORUS:  Oh no, no, no, Angel please don't go.
Oh yes, yes, yes; come fly with me again.

TO GO FLY A KITE

On a day, as the like:
I venture to engage a bottle of wine,
Some old memories, and a roll of twine.
Remember the hill we used to climb?
To the summit: I ride then hike;
Sticks and paper, to a sail I strike;
To work the wind, and tease the sky,
Seems, a better time, one cannot buy.
From Mother Natures breast, I fly,
Into the grasp of God's sigh.
A revelation of sweet respite;
At the rendezvous of love;
We used to keep at night.

PLAYNOTES

dreamdrifting saffron
painted deserts decorating
my mind
colorswift shimmer
fleeting thoughts
shared
words lost in the wind
carried through the cosmos
cupped
shaped into melodies strung
on starfire staffs
musicians play thier notes.

"Deafening Silence"

Since you went away,
On that cold winters day,

The room is so empty --,
And all I can hear,
Is the deafening silence,
Accompanied by,
The steady beating
Of my aching weeping heart!

The Power of Light

Light, shining in the darkness,
overcoming fears and doubts;
calming a turbulent heart,
lit at night, a candle radiates
a warm glow, making me hope
that all strife will end;
when we learn to trust and love,
then we will stop fighting
and reach out to family and friends.
In times of uncertainty, a child
adds a dimension we cannot
discount through all storms.
